摘要: Over the last few decades, most popular platform to perform high-throughput screening for viable anti-neoplastic compounds has been monolayer cell culture. However, cells in culture lose many of their vivo characteristics. As a result, this provides limited predictive value determining clinical outcome interest. Using technique known as 3D spheroid culture, may be answer conundrum. Spheroids have shown mimic tissue-like properties tumors necessary proper evaluation compounds. In review, production cancer spheroids, utilization these spheroids understanding various therapeutic mechanisms and potential use drugs drug-delivery systems are discussed detail.
