摘要: Abstract The objective of this study was to detect soluble-form tumour necrosis factor receptors (sTNFRs) in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) synovial fluid aspirates, and compare the sTNFR concentrations between painful anterior disc displacement without reduction osteoarthritis (ADDwoR/OA) asymptomatic TMJs. Synovial sampled from superior TMJ cavity 11 ADDwoR/OA cases (mean age: 36.9 years) 10 females 24.7 by diluted aspiration. sTNFR-I -II were measured using human enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. total protein fluids a bicinchoninic acid assay kit. All data normalised concentration each sample. Two-way factorial analysis variance post hoc multiple comparison revealed that: (1) mean higher aspirates patients than healthy controls; (2) controls, sTNFR-II concentration; (3) high aspirate seemed be associated with less pain restricted range mouth opening patients. sTNFRs are presence ADDwoR/OA, which could modulate intracapsular inflammation.
