摘要: Design for sustainable behaviour is an emerging activityunder the banner of design which aims toreduce environmental and social impacts productsby moderating users’ interaction with them. The intendedoutcome to reducenegative societal impacts. However, designers’ ability passively or actively influence userbehaviour resulting tension between choice andcontrol raises some interesting ethical issues. Whilstseveral viable strategies designing sustainablebehaviour have been developed, criterion selectingappropriate has yet be defined there isnot, as yet, a clear consensus what acceptablelevel intervention, how rate severity ofconsequences enacted by different behaviours. Exploration dimensions influencingbehaviour through limited such fewIndustrial programmes implicitly teach ethics ofdesign part curriculum. The study reported on in this paper sought address thisgap development delivery aneducational pilot test new teaching materialsconcerning design. Having outlined keyprocesses led material selection theidentification appropriate techniques, ‘best-in-class’student case presented illustrate outcomesof one student project from study. Thepaper concludes reflecting appropriateness ofthe learning methods, suitability thecontent based evaluation was carried out;and considers challenges lecturers deliveringcontent nature.
