摘要: A membrane-bound oleyl coenzyme desaturase from maturing Carthamus tinctorius seeds specifically catalyzed the conversion of oleyl-CoA to linoleyl-CoA. Any modification substrate, that is, a trans double bond, shift in position cis chain length, and substitution acyl carrier protein for CoA as thioester moiety resulted complete loss activity. The system was strongly inhibited by number —SH reagents metal chelators; carbon monoxide at various concentrations ineffective; cyanide partially inhibited. Although DPNH molecular oxygen were components system, could be replaced photochemically reduced ferredoxin. This result would suggest did not interact directly with but served only source electrons.
