摘要: Abstract Mats of vertically-aligned multiwall carbon nanotubes were grown in an thermal CVD reactor with simultaneous feed the catalyst and precursors. soaked into epoxy resin solutions without any prior chemical modification then cured to produce composite plates z-axis nano-reinforcement. Direct observations epoxy–CNT interactions at nanoscale revealed that interacted naturally MWCNTs affecting their physical characteristics, alignment, or mat’s morphology. The compressive behavior pristine mats was consistent mechanical predictions accounting for elastic regime followed by instability compaction. Strong evidence reinforcement MWCNT/epoxy composites indicated increased strength, stiffness toughness values respect as-grown pure polymer. strain order 0.4.
