摘要: Bartonella spp. are fastidious bacteria that cause blood culture-negative endocarditis and have been increasingly reported. In this study, we included all patients retrospectively prospectively diagnosed with in our French reference center between 2005 2013. Our diagnosis was based on the modified Duke criteria microbiological findings, including serological PCR results. To review published literature, searched human cases PubMed database January October We report here a large series of 106 cases, which include 59 had not previously reported or mentioned. Indirect immunofluorescence assays, Western blotting, real-time from total blood, serum, valve tissue exhibited sensitivities 58%, 100%, 33%, 36%, 91%, respectively. The number literature 2013 increased to reach cumulative 196 cases. by other centers is increasing more rapidly than (P < 10−2). Currently, there lack for endocarditis. suggest positive result cardiac specimen, an IgG titer ≥800 using assay, blot assay be considered major There no real increase incidence these infections but rather better understanding interest disease resulting improvement diagnostic tools.
