摘要: Brain infection by the fungus Cryptococcus neoformans results in an estimated 500,000 human deaths per annum. Colonization of central nervous system (CNS) C. causes different clinical syndromes that involve interaction a number fungal components with distinct brain cells. In this manuscript, our literature review confirmed notion field is expanding rapidly, but also suggested studies on neuropathogenesis still represent small fraction basic research activity field. We therefore discussed anatomical and physiological aspects during neoformans, addition to mechanisms which resident cells interact fungus. This suggests multiple efforts are necessary improve knowledge how affects cells, order enable generation new therapeutic tools near future.
