摘要: Background: Distal humerus fractures in elderly patients are difficult to treat as these often complicated by varying degrees of comminution, intra-articular involvement and osteoporosis. We retrospectively reviewed the results primary total elbow arthroplasty treatment distal seven followed for a minimum 1 year. Methods: Between July 2000 June 2002, with were treated electively using semiconstrained Coonrad-Moorey replacement prostheses. The Mayo Elbow Performance Score was used assess outcomes. Results: mean age our 72.9 years. duration postoperative hospitalization stay 7.6 days. average length follow up 24.9 months. Six had no pain, one patient mild pain. arc flexion 88.6 degrees. elbows excellent results, while good result. score 94.3 points. One developed blisters postoperatively but resolved dressings antibiotics. Conclusions: Our review suggests that can give short term when Asian patients.
