摘要: This is a case of 54 years old woman with fever unknown origin. Physical examination showed nothing remarkable. Chest radiographs, abdominal ultrasound (US) and chest-abdominal-pelvic CT, segmental thickening the wall aorta. On admission, C-reactive protein level erythrocyte sedimentation rate were elevated. (18)Fluoro-fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography ((18)F-FDG-PET/CT) increased uptake aorta its main branches that could be indicative arteritis. The temporal artery biopsy was negative for giant-cell patient responded well to prednisolone treatment. A second (18)F-FDG-PET/CT scan great improvement. early indicates arteritis vessels in this considered TA contributes monitoring disease activity.
