摘要: Even with the recent advance in diagnostic tools and techniques, fever of unknown origin (FUO) remains a clinical challenge. A wide range diseases, mainly infections, autoimmune conditions (inflammatory diseases), malignancies miscellaneous can cause FUO. Positron emission tomography (PET) or positron tomography/computed (PET/CT) scanning makes great contribution to diagnosis differential FUO due high sensitivity pathological accumulation 18F-FDG. The yield PET/CT is higher than traditional radiographic imaging other nuclear medicine scanning. Owing numerous advantages including ability perform whole-body scans, many rare diseases presenting be detected spectrum that exhibit has been increasing. Recent studies utilizing are discussed this paper. However, there limited data available about role 18F-FDG PET evaluation
