摘要: Analysis of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BAL) is an effective method detecting inflammatory response in the lungs animals toxicological studies. Alterations BAL that are most sensitive indications increased content serum proteins and influx neutrophils (PMNs). Elevation cytoplasmic enzyme lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) a useful indicator cytotoxicity. The pulmonary to particles (either mineral dusts or soot) lung includes greatly activities such lysosomal enzymes as beta-glucuronidase beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase BAL. Examination alterations rats mice during chronic exposure high levels diluted diesel exhaust revealed steadily increasing LDH, beta-glucuronidase, hydroxyproline correlated better with development fibrosis than did measures (protein, PMNs). has proven useful, both for detection injury screening tests determination mechanisms developing disease. Future work shows promise assays analysis identify specific site type present.
