摘要: The radical scavenging assay-guided fractionation of the leaf extract Byrsonima bucidaefolia Standl. yielded two metabolites with antioxidant activity, identified as methyl gallate (1) and m-trigallate (2) on basis their spectroscopic data. Both 1 2 were artifacts extraction and/or purification process, possibly resulting from transesterification precursor gallotannins. Evaluation activity both isolated three derivatives (3-5), showed that have a stronger than vitamin C when tested using DPPH reduction assay.
