摘要: Cases of childhood hemoptysis are rare and usually result from foreign body aspiration or congenital heart lung diseases. However, human hirudiniasis due to the leech still exists, could involve upper airways after drinking infested water quiet streams pools. We report case a 6-year-old child who presented suffocating at emergency room having been misdiagnosed treated for asthma over 1-month period. His mother reported he had recurrent hemoptysis, as well. The inadvertently drank leech-infested in rural area northern Syria. Surgical removal resulted prompt resolution symptoms. Although laryngeal is developed world, it remains possible cause airway obstruction, anemia which needs be considered patients with suggestive history.
