摘要: An 8-year-old girl was admitted to the emergency department with hemoptysis. Her history revealed that she had been drinking unfiltered tap water several days before. Physical examination a black live foreign object in pharynx local posterior pharyngeal oozing. Pharyngeal leech suspected and removed immediately using forceps. After removal of leech, bleeding stopped patient felt comfortable. The identified as belonging species Limnatis nilotica. leeches should be included differential diagnosis patients hemoptysis, especially from sources where aquatic are commonly found. Cases such this considered emergencies, all measures taken avoid hemoptysis death.
