摘要: Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) is a marker for acute kidney injury. We studied whether serum NGAL predicts delayed graft function (DGF) and recovery of after transplantation. Serum was analyzed using commercial ELISA point-of-care (POC) (Triage®, Biosite) methods. samples were collected from 176 consecutive, deceased-donor recipients just before transplant surgery on day 1 14 The first 132 with both methods the remaining POC method. correlation between 0.89, p < 0.0001 hence method used analyses. DGF seen in 66/176 patients. Day sNGAL significantly higher (588 ng/ml, SD 189.6) compared to early (355 ng/ml, 166.2, p < 0.0001) this difference persisted 14. predicted an area under curve (AUC) 0.853 (CI 0.792-0.914, p < 0.0001). At optimal cutoff level 423 ng/ml sensitivity 87% specificity 77%. In multivariate analysis, emerged as independent predictor DGF. also lasting longer than 14 days AUC 0.825 0.751-0.899, 486 ng/ml, 80% 75%. clinically significant useful care recipients.
