The prevalence and factors associated with obesity in women attended at First Aid Units of the Unified Health System in southern Brazil

摘要: Obesity is currently one of the major epidemics, representing an important public health problem that associated with increase in chronic disease. The scope this study to investigate prevalence excess weight and obesity factors 20 59-year-old women attended at First Aid Units Unified Health System. Standardized interviews anthropometric measurements were conducted 440 women. Factors presence weight/obesity investigated using Poisson model robust variance. (64.3%) as well central (44.1%) higher than population general increased incidence problems. Insufficient physical activity (PR=1.44; 95% CI 1.24-1.66), a history three pregnancies or more (PR=1.45; 1.05-2.00), age above 50 (PR=1.34; 1.00-1.82) (PR=1.92; 1.64-2.25) are obesity. implementation polices focused on prevention would undoubtedly have impact primary diseases female population.
