摘要: Abstract An organo-modified boehmite (OMB) was used to prepare solvent-free, hydrophobic and thermal insulating sunlight curable nanocomposites, based on an innovative photo-polymerizable siloxane-modified methacrylic formulation. A deep analysis of the selected nano-filler first performed by Wide-Angle X-ray (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) thermo-gravimetric (TGA). Then, a small amount (i.e. 3 pph) dispersed in organic formulation presence mix photo-initiators, latter being able activate curing reactions upon exposure. The rheological behavior unfilled nano-filled formulations studied, verifying that nano-particles does not hinder field application liquid product. kinetics radical photo-polymerization reactions, induced solar radiations, was, then, studied both Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) Differential Calorimetry (DSC), order evaluate effect particles reaction. Glass transition temperature, conductivity, transparency, surface hardness, hydrophobicity UV resistance systems, produced as thin samples aluminum substrate photo-polymerized air, were measured. found increase Shore D hardness polymeric matrix, reduce its conductivity transparency nanocomposite film. properties OMB filled coating, along with excellent characteristics, suggested potential applications construction/Cultural Heritage protection hydrophobic/insulating coating. In explore this possibility, preliminary experimental study carried out assessing protective performance when applied calcareous stone substrates.
