Influence of natural and accelerated weathering on performances of photoselective greenhouse films

摘要: The research aims to investigate the effects of natural and accelerated weathering on polyethylene-based films. At this regard, monolayer films low density/linear density polyethylene blends, containing commercially available organic pigments an UV absorber benzophenone type, have been considered. samples were weathered field (natural weathering) or using two different artificial procedures: lamp QUV chamber. Conditioned film were, then, analyzed by performing several physical tests taking as-received as a reference. Rheological measurements showed increase in viscosity sample melts consequence photodegradation phenomena, inducing formation double bonds crosslinks. This latter result was also confirmed gel content measurements. UV–visible spectroscopic indicated that both cases transmittance occurred.
