摘要: Abstract Peptides control many biological processes, including cell–cell signaling as peptide hormones and neuropeptides, within the cell in other capacities. Peptidomics is defined identification of peptides present a sample. Although peptidomics related to proteomics (the analysis proteins), there are some distinct differences between these techniques terms overall goals methodology. Most peptidomic studies aimed at identifying precise endogenous form each peptide, posttranslational modifications, whereas proteomic usually focused on only proteins not forms. Quantitative involves both quantification sample, either by measuring total levels (absolute quantification) or comparing different samples (relative quantification). In this review, we discuss various for peptides/proteins their advantages disadvantages with respect application peptidomics.
