摘要: Conjunctival melanoma is a rare malignant tumour of the eye. Its diagnosis represents challenge for general pathologists due to low exposure ocular biopsies and broad differential diagnosis. In addition, conjunctival samples are often small associated with high frequency artefacts their processing. Here, we present first case date traumatic iridial extrusion masquerading as melanocytic neoplasm. An 83-year-old Asian man presented conjunctival-pigmented nodule surrounded by an area diffuse pigmentation. Histopathology revealed in well-demarcated lesion composed spindle shaped melanocytes thick-walled blood vessels. At higher magnification, vessels were thick walls collagen fibres onion-skin-like arrangement. The histological findings consistent extruded tissue. map flat, pigmented showed cell proliferation dendritic processes restricted lamina propria without any epithelial involvement, melanocytosis. lesions challenging, non-neoplastic conditions should always be included Pathologists correlate clinicopathological familiar normal histology order achieve correct
