摘要: A square mandible is often indicated for operative correction in Orientals, whereas it seldom regarded as requiring treatment other races. prominent mandibular angle corrected by resecting the angle. However, subjects with a have disproportional chin, and contouring surgery from ramus to symphysis conducted effectively resection of genioplasty. Advancement, recession, shortening, and/or elongation horizontal or sagittal osteotomy chin were performed our series 16 Japanese patients. The resected width ranged 10 15 mm, length 42 62 mm. Masseter muscle was combined 13 patients who requested it. In concomitant genioplasty, advancement six, reduction one, simultaneous nine cases. Operative results satisfactory, patients' facial contours improved substantially all author concludes that entire contour should be considered plasty, genioplasty based on racial anthropometric measurements very effective.
