摘要: The use of the Kelly Descemet's membrane punch enables glaucoma surgeon to perform smaller trabeculectomies. outcome 'microtrabeculectomy' employing a 2 x mm superficial scleral flap and 0.75 internal osteum was evaluated on 65 eyes 50 patients (mean age 70 years). operation site nasal in left temporal right eyes. In 56 where 5-fluorouracil not used, mean intraocular pressure (IOP) diagnosis 33.4 mmHg, pre-operative IOP being 25.1 mmHg. After follow-up 13.4 months (minimum 3 months) following surgery, mmHg with 88% controlled at < 21 no medications. Nasally sited microtrabeculectomies resulted lower IOPs than temporally procedures (11.8 vs 14.9 p = 0.003) last visit.
