摘要: The aim was to provide the insight into biology of C. albicans influenced by undescribed yet properties saponin-rich (80%–98%) fractions (SAPFs), isolated from extracts Trifolium alexandrinum, T. incarnatum, resupinatum var. aerial parts. Their concentrations below 0.5 mg/mL were arbitrarily considered as subMICs for ATCC 10231 and further used. SAPFs affected yeast enzymatic activity, lowered tolerance oxidative stress, osmotic stress action cell wall disrupting agent. In their presence, germ tubes formation significantly irreversibly inhibited, well Candida invasive capacity. evaluation interactions with anti-mycotics showed synergistic mainly azoles. Fluconazole MIC lowered—susceptible more susceptible, resistant glabrata (clinical strain) become susceptible (eightfold). Moreover, tested samples no hemolytic activity at up did not reduce viability fibroblasts L929. This study provided original evidence that spp. part exhibit significant antimicrobial expression/quantity important virulence factors have good potential development novel antifungal products supporting classic drugs.
