摘要: Abstract Background and aims A progressive decrease in muscle mass until full-blown sarcopenia may occur patients on peritoneal dialysis (PD) worsen their life quality expectancy. Here we investigate the prevalence of obesity obesity-associated wasting PD patients. Patients methods The study design was observational, cross sectional. Body composition assessed with BIA BIVA 88 (53.4 ± 13.1 years; 67% male). and/or reduced were identified using FMI SM/BW cutoff values, respectively. Inflammatory status by measuring CRP fibrinogen blood levels. Results total 44.3% showed a (37.5% moderate 6.8% severe). 6.1%, 81.8%, 100% normal, moderately, severely mass, respectively (p  Conclusion Obesity diabetes strongly associated loss our It remains to be established whether prevention nutritional interventions can halt occurrence PD.
