摘要: Abstract 1. Chipmunks were acclimatized to ad libitum and restricted water consumption regimes (equal rations of 4 2 ml/day) at ambient temperatures 26, 30, 34°C. 2. Weight loss is greatest in the semiarid population when ml/day, but montane drinking ml/day. 3. Urine blood concentrations animals on intake are similar two populations. The reduces evaporative fecal content more than does population. osmolarity significantly higher both populations maintained water. 4. Hematocrit lower that under regimes. 5. Evaporative heat greater surface-specific dry conductance less 6. Metabolism body temperature measurements different times year suggest a seasonal change thermoregulatory characteristics E. minimus.
