摘要: Abstract Thermal-hydraulics is recognized as a key scientific subject in the development of innovative reactor systems. In Europe, consortium established consisting 24 institutions universities, research centers and nuclear industries with main objectives to identify perform activities on important crosscutting thermal-hydraulic issues encountered various For this purpose large-scale integrated project THINS (Thermal-Hydraulics Innovative Nuclear Systems) launched 7th Framework Programme FP7 European Union. The topics considered are (a) advanced core thermal-hydraulics, (b) single phase mixed convection, (c) turbulence, (d) multiphase flow, (e) numerical code coupling qualification. are: • Generation data base for validation new models codes describing selected phenomena. Development physical modeling approaches more accurate description Improvement engineering tools design analysis This paper describes technical tasks methodologies applied achieve objectives. Main results achieved so far summarized. serves also guidance special issue.
