摘要: Abstract We have determined the primary sequence and modification status of a transfer RNA from mosquito mitochondria whose GCU anticodon indicates that it is serine tRNA (tRNAGCUSer), obtained information on higher order structure using partial digestion with nucleases S1 T1 under non-denaturing conditions. Although its homology to mammalian mitochondrial tRNAGCUSer modest (46%), resembles counterpart in plausible secondary configuration includes drastically abbreviated D arm six base-pair stem. Other unusual features include ribose-methylated cytidine residue at end stem, likely occurrence Ψ between amino acid IV.
