摘要: Functional recovery after stroke is partly due to cortical reorganization on a structural as well functional level. Recent investigations have shown that the excitability of brain areas surrounding ischemic lesions increased, probably down-regulation gamma-aminobutyric acid-receptor activity. There some evidence these changes might increase susceptibility lesioned for adaptive and recovery. Here, we investigated propensity induction long-term potentiation (LTP) in surround experimentally induced focal infarcts rat somatosensory cortex vitro. By using standard paradigms, LTP was found be facilitated ipsilaterally slices animals 1 week lesion induction. In homotopic contralateral areas, not different from control values. As commonly associated with plasticity learning, results provide further lesion-induced amplification network plasticity, it required reshaping circuits by timely training procedures.
