摘要: The aim of this study was to assess for any trend in management pancreatic fluid collections (PFCs) and identify impacting factors. endoscopy surgical databases were queried PFC patients. PFCs categorized as pseudocysts (PP) or complex (CC) that included abscess/necrosis. outcome measures compare the utilization surgery from 2004 2007 (group I) 2008 2010 II) factors practice patterns. A total 285 patients treated: group I 119 II 166. Of patients, 29 per cent treated by 71 endoscopy. 85 42 drained conventional transmural drainage 58 endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). 166 31 surgically 69 endoscopically. 115 17 83 EUS. Compared with I, all (84% vs 100%, P = 0.001). There no difference rate CC between both groups (57.7% 56.8%, 0.9). not causing luminal compression (P < 0.0001) measuring <9 cm size more likely require a significant at our institution presently being only ability EUS access smaller those has significantly expanded role management.
