摘要: The production of B lymphocytes is regulated in part by physiologic levels androgens and estrogens. While these sex hormones down-regulate lymphopoiesis, augmentation lymphopoiesis occurs under conditions where androgen or estrogen are decreased. In this study we examine the effect ablation male mice on phenotypic composition peripheral lymphocyte populations. Spleen thymic weights significantly increased following castration, as total number blood lymphocytes. However, absolute numbers cells periphery selectively castration; T cells, NK granulocytes remain unchanged. increase circulating due largely to increases recent bone marrow emigrants expressing a B220(lo+)CD24(hi+) phenotype elevated castrated for up 54 days post-castration. Similar percentages newly emigrated observed that lack functional receptor (TFM:). Finally, assessments cell progenitors revealed significant relative IL-7-responsive progenitors, including Hardy fractions (early pro-B cells), C (late D (pre-B cells) E (immature cells). These findings demonstrate castration alters mice. Further, alterations result from potentiating effects progenitors.
