摘要: Abstract A long-term prospective follow-up of 359 asymptomatic retinal breaks, involving 231 eyes 196 patients, was carried out for from one to 18 years, without treatment. This group drawn a consecutive series phakic patients who had not detachment. Fifty the breaks were fractional tears with attached flaps. No case clinical detachment occurred. Eighteen separate small subclinical detachments occurred, 17 eyes, but only three these enlarged slightly. in treated. The absence this argues strongly relative safety phakic, nonfellow even if they are flap superior locations. Prophylactic treatment is justified type break eye.
