摘要: On the 30th September 2009, pandemic (H1N1) 2009 influenza vaccine was made available to adults and children aged 10 years over, in Australia. Acceptance of a novel is influenced by perceptions risk including infection, death or severe illness serious side-effects. We surveyed sample residents from Sydney, Australia ascertain their perception, attitudes towards willingness accept vaccine. sampled using cross-sectional intercept design during WHO Phase 6. Members public were approached shopping pedestrian malls undertake survey October 2009. The measured perceived risk, seriousness disease, recent behavioural changes, likely acceptance issues relating uptake safety. Of 627 respondents, majority felt that they had "very low low" (332/627, 52.9%) acquiring H1N1. 24.5% (154/627) respondents believed disease would seriously extremely" affect health. Nearly half (305/627, 48.6%) reported response "swine flu" outbreak undertaken one more investigated changes. Overall, self-reported likelihood accepting vaccination against H1N1 54.7% (343/627). While, most participants did not believe at high over indicated Participants who vaccinated seasonal receive Concerns about safety, possibility side effects development process need be addressed.
