摘要: Abstract PURPOSE: Descriptive epidemiology of thyroid cancer in Florida. METHODS: The Florida Cancer Data System (FCDS) registry was used to identify patients with the different histologic subtypes occurring from 1981 through 1993. RESULTS: FCDS recorded 5746 primary malignancies thyroid. average annual incidence all types 37.0 cases/1,000,000 population. One type (papillary carcinoma) accounted for overall increase during 13 years this study. There no difference based on Hispanic ethnicity, but Blacks half that Whites, and showed less advanced disease at time diagnosis.
