摘要: Abstract PURPOSE: Descriptive epidemiology of thyroid cancer in Florida. RESULTS: FCDS recorded 5746 primary malignancies thyroid. average annual incidence all types 37.0 cases/1,000,000 population. One type (papillary carcinoma) accounted for overall increase during 13 years this study. There no difference based on Hispanic ethnicity, but Blacks half that Whites, and showed less advanced disease at time diagnosis. CONCLUSIONS: only one suggests increasing rate is not an artifact related utilization new diagnostic technologies. lower tendency have would indicate racial differences are likely explained by socioeconomic factors such as access medical care. A substantial amount between Whites age distribution.
