摘要: Abstract About 100 radio spaced-receiver ‘Kinesonde’ measurements are compared with 40 neutral wind in the night-time E -region by gun-and rocket-launched self-luminous TMA trails. The result correctly detects direction of throughout wide range azimuths permitted sporadic- layers, provided that frequencies below ‘blanketing’ frequency employed measurement. A systematic behavior errors partially reflecting cases is found. magnitude echo drift velocity agrees only if ‘point source effect’ valid for normal incidence sounding. Otherwise, experiment speeds which about half wind.
