摘要: In a context of tighter regulations on approved insecticide molecules, the spread resistance in insect vectors human and animal diseases introduction exotic to new territories call for development pest control methods strategies. New genetic methods, related ancestral sterile technique (SIT), show particular promise are being developed response increasing health agricultural challenges. These include use symbionts like Wolbachia transgenic strains, some which incorporate gene editing techniques that can lead transgene (gene drive). Here we present principles, associated opportunities risks, as well degree advancement these various subset livestock pests disease including screwworms, tsetse, mosquitoes stomoxes.
