摘要: A novel high resolution PET scanner dedicated to imaging small volumes (small animals or positron mammography) has been developed. The system utilises a SiPM detector array coupled pixelated LYSO scintillator and placed in an edge-on formation around the ring. unique design provides more accurate placement of Lines Response (LoR) by measuring Depth Interaction (DoI) which results uniform spatial across whole field view (FoV). Analytical modelling effect parallax error on is presented. full prototype simulated using GATE/GEANT4 with Ge-68 point sources at various positions within FoV. simulation are compared experimental measurements system, effectiveness proposed approach determining DoI demonstrated. estimation achieving entire FoV demonstrated where 30% improvement close outer edge gantry ring obtained. Preliminary images micro-Defrise phantom filled F-18 obtained presented same configuration.
