摘要: Experiments are described on a symmetrically loaded S-band relativistic magnetron incorporating substantial variations from standard devices. Solid cathodes, ridged and propagating beams were used to drive the six-vane anode resonance. Results of geometric parameter studies presented. Peak powers 1.15 GW per waveguide (6.9-GW total power) produced at 4.5 GHz. The cathode was extended become load diode; diode impedance varied explore B? effects in magnetron. Output power declined when axial current exceeded 15 kA because these effects. A reflex opening switch shorten electrical pulse amplify magnetron, but high limited microwave ~0.1 waveguide. followed by an inverse with secondary feeding This scheme isolates detrimental switch.
