Spectroscopy and Collision Theory. The Xe Absorption Spectrum

摘要: Experiments on the uv photoabsorption of Xe have determined level positions, line intensities, Land\'e $g$ factors, intensity profiles in auto-ionization region, and branching ratio photoelectron groups. This paper expresses all these data terms a single set theoretical parameters which pertain to collisions $e+{\mathrm{Xe}}^{+}$ system with $J=1$ characterize five close-coupling eigenchannels this system. Values parameters, obtained by fitting experimental data, provide (1) values zero-energy scattering eigenphases, (2) evidence that orbital angular momentum free electron ($l=0 or 2$) is good quantum number within \ensuremath{\sim} 2%, (3) $\mathrm{LS}$ coupling classification complex holds approximately, but only for $l=2$. The whole analysis correlated diverse into unified pattern can be extended other $J$ $l$ rare gases spectra elements.
