摘要: Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics rural versus urban caregiving grandmothers along with their physical and mental health status. Methods: A secondary analysis data produced from first wave a longitudinal 485 Ohio conducted. Health status measured using SF-36 Survey 20-item CES-D depression scale. Rural-urban classification made Rural Urban Commuting Area (RUCA) codes based on resident ZIP codes, identifying 97 388 in sample. Findings: were similar age, educational level employment status; however, 90% compared 60% white. most likely have traditional nonresidential relationships grandchildren. Approximately 38% both served as primary caregivers for grandchildren, but lower percentage lived multigenerational homes. There no significant difference between relation or health. Among grandmothers, had significantly levels other caregiver groups. Conclusions: These findings suggest that health, despite differences demographics arrangements. promotion efforts grandparents are indicated, addressing
