The missing link which was already there: Building operators and energy management in non‐residential buildings

摘要: Purpose – This paper analyses the daily activities of building operators and how they mediate between end‐users technological systems in order to make “their” buildings energy efficient.Design/methodology/approach The empirical data consists four selected cases non‐residential different sizes.Findings argues that have possibility improving efficiency with or without extensive user involvement advanced systems.Originality/value Starting from practitioners' point view a new perspective on link facilities management emerges, which calls into question approaches focus either behavioral technical side building's consumption.
