摘要: The localization of protooncogenes on human chromosomes may coincide with chromosome breakpoints consistent translocations in leukaemias or lymphomas, suggesting a direct involvement oncogenes carcinogenesis. For example, Burkitt's lymphoma be associated rearrangements c-myc. Our assignment the c-Harvey-ras1 oncogene to 11, precisely region 11p11 leads p15 (ref. 5; not 11p13 as stated ref. 6), has raised possibility that this might have role predisposition nephroblastoma (Wilms' tumour, WT) seen aniridia-WT association (AWTA) is frequently caused by an interstitial deletion band 11p 8). We now studied organization and copy number sequences at three loci mapped 11p: c-Ha-ras1, insulin gamma-globin cells from four individuals structural short arm 11. results reported here rule out close physical linkage between c-Ha-ras1 genes responsible for AWTA, suggest more distal beta-globin cluster than currently assumed.
