Vibrational states of deformed nuclei populated by the (p, 2n) reaction

摘要: Abstract Spectra of prompt internal conversion electrons with energies up to 2 MeV were obtained from targets 159Tb, 165Ho, 169Tm, 175Lu and 181Ta bombarded 12 protons. Gamma-electron coincidence spectra also measured. Most the observed lines in region around 1 have been ascribed decays vibrational bands populated by (p, 2n) reaction. Quadrupole vibrations K = found 158Dy (945 keV), 164Er (857 keV) 168Yb (986 keV). Bands 0 (991 (1238 (1156, 1197 1543 174Hf (827 180W (908 The assignment was made on basis an E0 component decay. rotational levels spin six or more. spacing energy indicates increase moment inertia as a function similar that ground-state bands. In gamma there is small relative displacement even odd levels. Mising excited has calculated E2 branching ratios, but accounts for only fraction depression ground state
