摘要: Objective: The welding process involves metal ions capable of causing cell lysis. In view this fact, the aim study was to test hypothesis that cytotoxicity is present in different types alloys (CrNi, TMA, NiTi) commonly used orthodontic practice when these are subjected electric spot welding. Methods: Three were evaluated study. Thirty-six specimens fabricated, 6 for each wire combination, and divided into groups: Group SS (stainless steel), ST (steel with TMA), SN NiTi), TT (TMA TN group NN (NiTi NiTi). All groups assessed terms their potential oral tissues. first cleaned isopropyl alcohol sterilized ultraviolet light (UV). A assay performed using cultured cells (strain L929, mouse fibroblast cells), which tested viable neutral red dye-uptake over 24 hours. Analysis variance multiple comparison (ANOVA), as well Tukey employed (p 0.05). Cell viability higher group, followed by ST, TN, SS, NS NN. Conclusions: It became evident NiTi alloy wires caused a greater amount Electric found cause little
