Face Stability Analysis of Shield Tunnels in Homogeneous Soil Overlaid by Multilayered Cohesive-Frictional Soils

摘要: In order to better interpret failure features of the soil in front tunnel face, a new three-dimensional mechanism is proposed analyze limit support pressure face multilayered cohesive-frictional soils. The composed two truncated cones that represent shear band and distributed force acting on represents arch effect. By introducing concept Terzaghi earth theory, approximation pressures calculated using analysis methods. Then obtained from existing approaches are compared, which show results this paper provide relatively satisfactory results.
