摘要: Adenosine is known to be associated with effects such as inhibition of immune response, coronary vasodilation, stimulation angiogenesis, and inflammatory reactions. Some authors suggest that adenosine may also have similar functions in tumor tissues. Tissue levels are under close regulation by different enzymes acting at levels. produced from AMP the action 5'-nucleotidase (5'-NT) converted back into kinase (AK) or inosine deaminase (ADA). Inosine purine catabolites nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP), whereas ADP ATP adenylate (MK). The aim this study was analyze activities above fragments neoplastic apparently normal mucosa, obtained less than 5 cm least 10 tumors, 40 patients colorectal cancer. results showed much higher ADA, AK, 5'-NT, PNP tissue neighboring mucosa (p > 0.01 for PNP; p 0.05 5'-NT), suggesting metabolizing increase cope accelerated metabolism cancerous tissue. simultaneous ADA 5'-NT might a physiological attempt cancer cells provide more substrate accelerate salvage pathway activity.
