摘要: Abstract Vertically aligned ZnO nanowires (NWs) hybridized with reduced graphene oxide sheets (rGO) were applied in efficient visible light photoinactivation of bacteria. To incorporate (GO) within the NWs two different methods drop-casting and electrophoretic deposition (EPD) utilized. The EPD method yielded effective penetration positively charged GO into to form a spider net-like structure, whereas resulted only surface coverage on top NWs. electrical connection between EPD-incorporated was checked by monitoring electron transfer from UV-assisted photoexcited sheets, during photocatalytic reduction sheets. obtained rGO/ZnO composites Escherichia coli could inactivate ∼58% bacteria, while both EPD-prepared GO/ZnO exhibited strong antibacterial activities (especially sample ∼99.5% photoinactivation), under irradiation for 1 h. In fact, activity NW composite found ∼1.9 6.2 folds prepared bare
