摘要: Bacterial DNA and the synthetic CpG-oligodeoxynucleotides (ODNs) derived thereof have attracted attention because they activate cells of adaptive immune system (lymphocytes) innate (APCs) in a sequence-dependent manner. Here, we addressed whether CpG-ODNs affect hemopoiesis. Challenging mice with immunostimulatory CpG-ODN sequences led to transient splenomegaly, maximum increase spleen weight at day 6. The induction splenomegaly by was sequence-specific, dose-dependent, associated an splenic cell count, numbers granulocyte-macrophage CFUs (GM-CFUs), early erythroid progenitors (burst-forming units-erythroid). transfer from CpG-ODN-pretreated animals into lethally irradiated syngeneic yielded CFUs. Furthermore, challenge sublethally caused radioprotective effects, that recovery GM-CFUs cytotoxic T function enhanced. GM-CFU CTL correlated enhanced resistance Listeria infection mice. We conclude these data trigger extramedullary hemopoiesis, this finding could be therapeutic relevance myelosuppression.
