摘要: We examined whether elevated levels of retinoids, carotenoids, folate, and vitamin E protected against cervical dysplasia among non-Hispanic, black women. enrolled 32 women with incident dysplasia, including intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) I, CIN II, III/carcinoma in situ, 113 control normal cytology case-control study. Micronutrient were estimated from a food-frequency questionnaire (FFQ) measured blood samples. Information on risk factors for was elicited by interview. Hybrid capture used to determine infection human papillomavirus. After adjustment potential confounders, analysis micronutrient the FFQ suggested that upper tertile lycopene A intake one-third (odds ratio = 0.32, 95% confidence interval 0.8-1.3) one-fourth 0.24, 0.05-1.2) as likely, respectively, have lower tertile. Borderline protective trends (p < or 0.10) apparent. Elevated serum also some protection dysplasia. Results not significant at alpha 0.05 because small number case enrolled. Overall, correlations between estimates poor. This study indicates that, women, perhaps may play role early stages carcinogenesis.
