摘要: In this work, the synthesis and characterization of functionalized biosurfaces that can be used for bioseparations bio-nanotechnology are reported. A novel protein purification technique incorporates chelating ligands polymers onto same chromatographic matrix is explored. polysaccharide based gel, agarose, was modified systematically with hybrid chelator iminodiacetic acid (IDA) polymer polyethylene glycol (PEG). The PEG molecule acts as a blocking allow only small proteins to permeate surfaces form conventional immobilized metal ion affinity (IMAC) interactions chelators. Kinetic studies attachment were performed in order effectively control densities on matrix. Studies different surface their effects adsorption several (e.g. myoglobin, lysozyme bovine serum albumin (BSA)) evaluated characterize these new size exclusion IMAC (SEIMAC) matrices. An effect observed while systems took place. Functionalization schemes procedures extended activation incorporation inorganic such gold surfaces. Functional platforms explored development nano-interconnects via self assembled monolayers (FSAMs) attach specific linkers immobilize biomolecules, microtubules (MTs). MTs eventually could utilized assembling structures templates fabrication nano-scale bio-
