摘要: The present study investigated the effect of acute thermal stimulation in conscious rats on production Fos, a marker increased neuronal activity, spinally projecting and nitrergic neurons hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN). PVN contains high concentration neurons, as well that project to intermediolateral cell column (IML) spinal cord can directly influence sympathetic nerve activity (SNA). During stimulation, is activated, but it unknown whether are involved. Compared with controls, exposed an environmental temperature 39 degrees C for 1 h had 10-fold increase number cells producing Fos (133 +/- 23 vs. 1,336 43, respectively, P < 0.0001). Of heated (98 10), over 20% expressed Fos. Additionally, (NADPH-diaphorase positive) located parvocellular (723 17), 40% also (P 0.0001 compared controls). Finally, there was significant were after heat exposure (12%) controls (0.1%) These results suggest may contribute central pathways activated by stimulation.
